How we teach at Idiomes Tarraco
Communicative Methodology
Idiomes Tarraco adopts a communicative approach to language teaching which encourages students to speak and understand the target language from day one. For example, learners of English are taught in English.
Speaking / Listening / Reading / Writing / Grammar / Vocabulary
Although a great deal of emphasis is placed on speaking and understanding, there is also a focus on reading and writing, so that all four skills act together to help the language-learning process. A solid focus on both grammar and vocabulary also helps students to understand the language better and hence communicate more accurately in a range of situations.
Student Participation
We encourage students to participate as much as possible in class as we believe that the more students can do for themselves, the better they will learn.
Dynamic classes
Learning should also be enjoyable and for that reason Idiomes Tarraco strives to provide a happy, enjoyable and dynamic environment for language-learning in order to achieve the best possible results.
Technology
The use of technology also helps to make classes more interactive and stimulating.
Qualified Teachers
All of our English teachers hold a teaching qualification, usually the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) or Trinity TESOL Certificate and most have a university degree.
Continuing Professional Development
We provide professional development for teachers so that they learn new teaching techniques and continue to improve their quality of service.
